Medan, December 1 2024– The Potential Main University Software Engineering Study Program Student Association (HMPS RPL) has again demonstrated its social concern by raising and distributing aid to flood victims in the areaWard IX, Sei Mati Village, Medan Maimun District, Medan City.
This humanitarian action not only received full support from the Main Potential University, but also collaborated with strategic partners, namelyUMKIM Ulul Albabas well as colleagues fromHMPS Sharia Law and Banking. This cross-organization collaboration is a real manifestation of the spirit of solidarity and concern of students towards communities in need.
Raising and Distribution of Aid
The assistance provided is in the form of basic needs such as rice, instant noodles, mineral water, suitable clothes, as well as other special needs such as medicine and baby equipment. All donations are collected through the campus and partner posts, which are then distributed directly toSasuda Flood Postin Ward IX.
The Chairman of HMPS RPL said,"This action is clear proof that students are not only focused on academics, but also have social responsibility. We hope that this assistance can ease the burden on our brothers and sisters who were affected by the flood."

Flood Location Conditions
RegionSei Mati, Medan Maimun District, is known to be one of the areas worst affected by flooding due to the high intensity of rain in the last few days. Many residents' houses were submerged in water, causing daily activities to stop and forcing some residents to flee to emergency posts.
FromSasuda Flood Post, the aid received is directly distributed to affected residents. One of the residents expressed his gratitude for the concern of the students and partners involved."Thank you to students and all parties who have helped. This assistance is very meaningful for us who are facing a difficult situation,"he said.
